Publicity and websites for the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Races


It was one thing to have the opportunity to create large OOH posters for the men’s Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race (a gold medal winner for OOH at the Money Marketing Awards), but it was a massive honour to provide a website for inaugural Women’s Boat Race. On top of that taxis and press ads ran in the week running up to the races.

A website was also created to document each team’s preparations for the big event – a diary of dark winter mornings on the Thames, late nights of sweat, study and tears and giving a platform for strong women work together to pursue performance goals – and equal footing with the men.

BNY Mellon, the principal sponsor, also requested a content site to tie in with their ‘Invest Brilliant’ strapline.
Themes such as Think Brillliant ,Row Brilliant, Work Brilliant amongst others, tapped into the mindset of these athletes, finding parallels in business behaviour.
